On April 6, 2017, the IV industrial scientific and technical seminar "Accident-free transformer. Scientific foundations and practical solutions that work" was held in in Nizhny Novgorod.

About 100 representatives from more than 30 enterprises of metallurgical, machine-building and electro technical industries took part in the work of the seminar. With every year the interest to the event has been increasing and the geography of the cities, from which the attendees of the seminar have been arriving, has enlarged, from Novosibirsk to Taganrog and from Chelyabinsk to Cherepovets.

The foundation for obtaining practical knowledge was provided by representatives of the scientific community. Among the speakers of the event there were candidates and doctors of technical sciences with reports on the reliability of electricity supply and on modern methods for assessing the residual life of the insulation system.

The guests of the seminar grooved on the questions of increasing the service life of furnace transformers, repair of a transformer at the installation site, questions of estimating the actual service life of power transformers, etc.

The relevance of the topics, the quality of the speakers and the positive feedback from the participants show that the "Accident-free Transformer" seminar has once again became one of the most anticipated and useful events for specialists in the field of energy, engineering and metallurgy.

On April 7, within the framework of the seminar, the participants visited the production base of "Delta Trafo" - its insulating, winding and assembly shop, the design department. The participants were given the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the winding process, inspect the finished transformer and its active part.

The list of questions that are covered at the seminars and the team of the speakers is formed as a result of the feedback received from partners and clients of "Delta Trafo".

In 2017 the company Delta Trafo celebrated its 50th anniversary.

On March 24, an evening function was held, addressed to all those who are connected with the "Delta Trafo" plant: employees, veterans, clients and partners. In total, about 200 people attended the event in the recreation center "Rhythm" (Arzamas).

The event was held under the motto "Energy of traditions is the energy of the future", because for 50 years the main task of the company has been to transform people's energy into the energy of big jobs, keeping it as much as possible. To transform the energy of time, as if in a watch, into the work of a complex mechanism, where every detail is in its place and everyone is working for a common cause. To transform the energy of the past and invaluable experience into the energy of the future, into the energy of new technologies, new unique equipment.

For 50 years, the company has come a long way from equipment repair to creating transformers of its own design.

Today, "Delta Trafo" is enterprises that can truly be proud of customers of the transformer plant that are not only in all corners of Russia, but throughout the world.

Each employee is an important "screw" in a large-scale system called "Delta Trafo". And every year is a new step and a new height in the sphere of energy management.

On April 14 - 17, the 7th International Industrial Forum "Reconstruction of industrial enterprises - breakthrough technologies in metallurgy and machine building" was held at the World Trade Center Chelyabinsk.

The company "Delta Trafo" (Nizhny Novgorod), STA “ Akont” (Chelyabinsk), SPC Energotechnology (Moscow) and “SKB Sibelectroterm” (Novosibirsk) took part in the forum, having organized a joint stand where the visitors of the exhibition received a comprehensive consultation on Electrometallurgy issues:


- optimization of electricity supply to metallurgical enterprises;

- trends in the development of electrometallurgical production;

- implementation of projects to improve efficiency;

- selection of parameters for furnace transformers.


On April 13, representatives of the company "Delta Trafo" made a presentation "Choice of the design and parameters of transformers for arc steel-smelting furnaces" at the conference "Innovative technologies and equipment for steel production" that took place in the framework of the forum.

All the questions voiced by the company at the forum aroused great interest among the participants.


The Seventh International Industrial Forum and UPEN enabled market players to meet customers within four days, expand sales channels, strengthen their reputation among partners, test new product lines, and enter into promising contracts.

On April 7, 2016 in Nizhny Novgorod, the company Delta Trafo held the 3rd specialized seminar "Accident-free transformer. Scientific foundations and practical solutions that work". More than 100 representatives of enterprises from 16 regions of Russia took part in the annual event.

On December 9, 2015 the plant "Isolator" held a technical seminar  for the employees of the company "Delta Trafo" Ltd. on the topic  "Design, installation, operation and maintenance  features of high-voltage bushings."

The seminar was focused on the detailed and informative coverage of the topics of practical application:
1. The construction of high-voltage bushings for transformers. Applied internal insulation (RIP, RIN, paper and oil), its advantages and disadvantages. External insulation of bushings (polymer molding, polymer hollow insulator, porcelain lid). measuring terminal device. Units and parts of high-voltage bushings (central tube, condenser plates, screens, etc.)
2. The requirements for transport packaging. Proper storage of inputs prior to installation. Mistakes that can occur during installation of inputs (extension installation, the use of additional sealing materials). Violations of the operation rules of  the inputs (incorrect testing, installation of additional current transformers, the absence of control over input state).

For "DT": The achieved knowledge is already applied by the company specialists while designing of furnace transformers.
For "RIM": The achieved  knowledge is successfully used while conducting repairs of power transformers.
Employees of "Delta Trafo" Ltd. ( "RIM" Ltd.) who completed the training especially noted a  highly topical programme of the event, professional presentation of  information, the relevance of the illuminated topics. The management of the company "Delta Trafo" Ltd. is grateful to the  plant "Isolator" for the organization of training for professionals and individual approach.

The topic of the seminar has attracted considerable interest among managers and professionals responsible for uninterruptible power supply of enterprises. More than 100 of current questions have been asked by experts after successful seminars in 2014 and 2015, more than 50 pre-entries were already sent for the participation in the 2016 open dialogue format seminar with the opportunity to share experiences with colleagues.

The basis of the insulation system of most powerful transformers makes paper (cellulose) insulation and transformer oil.

The seminar "Accident-free Transformer 3.0" is completely dedicated to the insulation system:

 Evaluation of insulation life;
 insulation failure mechanisms;
 Insulation Condition Assessment Methods;
 Examples of residual life assessment of transformers;
 What the average lifetime of transformers is;
 What affects the lifetime of a particular transformer;
 When the “zero hour” comes.

Production of the company "Delta Trafo"  is again marked by the award "100 best goods of Russia".

In 2015 electric furnace transformers ЭОЦН, ЭТЦН, ЭТЦП, ЭОМНШ became diploma winners. In the same year "DeltaTrafo"  became an award winner in the nomination "Modernization of Electric Furnace Transformers".

The competition "100 best goods of Russia" is held by interregional public organization "Academy of  Quality Problems" with the assistance of  Federal Technical Regulation and Metrology Agency of regions Administration of the Centers of standardization, metrology and certification of Public organizations since 1998 and is urged to stimulate the enterprises and the organizations to improve the quality and competitiveness of the Russian production and services.

The XIX International  applied science conference "Metallurgy: technologies, innovations, quality" was held on the basis of the Siberian State Industrial University on 15-16 December.

In the current year for the first time the conference is held in the international  status with the financial support of the Russian Foundation of Fundamental Research.

Scientists – metallurgists and material scientists of Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Ukraine, Latvia, China from educational and scientific institutions and industrial enterprises took part in it.

The company "Delta Trafo" took part in the conference with the report  "A modern electric furnace transformer – provision of productivity enhancement".

The presentation of the speaker of the company "Delta Trafo" was awarded the diploma for the best report.
